About Me

My name is Grace Lena and I am a senior at Pawling High School. Currently, I am enrolled in the three year science research college-level course at Pawling High School with accreditation from SUNY Albany. Students selected for this exclusive program choose a research topic that they’re passionate about and are then required to create and execute an original, scientific experiment related to their area of interest, with the guidance of a mentor in the field. I am particularly interested in pursuing research in Autism in adolescents and children and also the early intervention techniques currently being employed and developed. I am drawn to this topic after spending copious amounts of time with my friend's younger brother who is four years old. I am intrigued by this disorder and passionate about conducting research and making an impact in this field of study. I have completed three research projects and am hoping to find a mentor and project on Autism relating to competition next.
